Wednesday, 29 October 2008
It took the pro-active and speedy work of a dedicated US Scholastic Band Association staff, and the patience and loyalty of the Association’s membership, but last weekend’s schedule of events steamed ahead. Despite wind and rain, Mother Nature didn’t stop the USSBA!

“We can’t thank all our members enough for their patience and understanding during the changes to the schedule last weekend. We always watch the weather forecasts the week prior to shows and seeing what was likely coming our way, decisions had to be made for the safety of all,” said Sean King, Director of the USSBA. “As it turns out, those decisions were right on, and no wind, rain and miserable day hampered the experience for our bands.”

Thanks to the generosity of many Clarion businesses and individuals, when it comes time for CGHS to "strike up the band" for a new school year next fall, they will be doing so with beautiful new marching uniforms.
