Former Memorial Viper Marching Band consultant Scott Bush has sued the former interim band director claiming techniques the band used during their performances last football season were in violation of Bush's copyright of the material. He sued Carl Miller, who is now the assistant band director at Memorial High School, on March 27 in federal court. Miller served as interim director for about three months. According to the lawsuit, Miller is accused of infringing on the copyright Bush has over a choreographic work called "B&S Basics" Bush created and claims the band used in its marching technique and field drills.
