Twenty-two high school marching bands from Arizona, Oklahoma, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, and Texas will perform in the 2006 Bands of America Regional Championship at Flagstaff, presented by Yamaha on Saturday, October 14, at J. Lawrence Walker Skydome. The Northern Arizona University Lumberjack Marching Band will host the event, in addition to performing in exhibition. Bands of America (BOA) is the nation’s leading presenter of educational events and spectacular shows for high school bands. The BOA Regional Championship at Flagstaff is one of 17 Bands of America Championships to be held across the nation this fall with several previous Regional Champions and Finalists. Bands of America is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization based in Indianapolis. BOA presents more than 20 events annually across the nation. Bands of America’s other 2006 marching band championships will be held in Ft. Mill, South Carolina; Youngstown, Ohio; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Arlington, Texas; Ypsilanti, Michigan; Metro Houston, Texas; St. Petersburg, Florida; St. Louis, Missouri; Towson, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; Los Angeles, California, Indianapolis, Indiana and San Antonio, Texas.
